How do I choose the right Ah battery for my home?
Add up the wattage of the appliances you plan to run during a power cut – lights, fans, TV, refrigerator, and anything else essential. Every Okaya battery shows its CBH (Certified Backup Hours) printed on the packaging, telling you exactly how long it runs at your specific load in watts, so you can choose based on your actual usage instead of guessing from the Ah number alone.
Frequent short cuts vs. rare long outages – which battery fits which?
If your combined load runs high (300-400W) during frequent short cuts, look at a battery’s backup time at the 400W mark. If you deal with occasional but longer outages at a lower combined load (100-200W), check the same battery’s backup time at 100W or 200W instead – both figures are on the packaging.
Is a higher Ah rating always more backup time?
Not always – container type (SJT vs TT) and warranty tier also affect backup at the same Ah rating. Two 160Ah models can run for different lengths of time depending on construction, so check the actual backup hours rather than assuming Ah alone decides runtime.
